Various Ways to Overcome Oily Hair

Healthy
Oily hair often looks dull, shiny, and unruly. This of course makes you feel uncomfortable and disturbed. However, you don't need to worry, because there are a variety of easy and effective ways to deal with oily hair.

The scalp contains natural oil or sebum which is produced by oil glands. Sometimes, these glands work too actively to produce more oil. As a result, the scalp becomes oily and the hair looks dull, limp and unruly.

Causes of Greasy Hair

There are at least three factors that can cause oily hair and scalp, namely:

Hormone

One of the hormones that can affect oil production in the skin and hair is the androgen hormone. For some conditions, levels of this hormone in the body can increase, triggering the skin to produce more oil.

High hormone levels can occur in adolescents, women who are menstruating, and pregnant women.

Genetic factor

Oily hair can be passed genetically from parent to child. If you have parents with oily hair, chances are your hair is oily too.
